After performing in New York City for many years, Chris discovered his creative spirit was best-served writing and directing. Most inspired by the literary work of fellow Georgia native Flannery O’Connor, his stories investigate the darkness hidden in all people and their redemption at the hands of profound choices or mystical grace.

Chris’ latest work, Pap’s Manifesto (written and directed), has won, or been awarded Jury Prizes at 25+ film festivals throughout the world.

Chris’ filmmaking partnerships include Stephanie Kurtzuba (“The Irishman”, “The Wolf of Wall Street”, “Task”, “Your Friends and Neighbors”), Academy Award nominee Matthew Marshall (“Passage”), multiple award winner Casey Clark (“Off Season”, “The Mistress”, “Kink, Inc”), Jason Winn (“The Assault”, “The Fat Boy Chronicles”), and casting director Pat Golden (“Platoon”, “Blue Velvet”, “The Killing Fields”).

Chris specializes in scripting compelling narratives for interactive educational technology. He’s written projects for New York University’s College of Nursing, The Estee Lauder Companies (directed), Signature HealthCARE, Center for Talent Innovation, Spectral Capital Corporation, and more.

TRENESA DANUSER

Co-Founder / Executive Producer

Trenesa Stanford-Danuser is an Executive Producer who has spent thirty years doing the one thing that separates good storytelling from great production: finding the human being at the center of every project and refusing to let go of them.

She came to film the way most serious producers do, through a long education in what moves people. During nearly fifteen years at The Estée Lauder Companies, she produced large-scale, multi-market activations across the globe, from mainland China to Paris, including the Origins Rocks Earth Month campaign. What she was really doing was learning how to build emotional architecture around a story, how to take something a brand or a person deeply believed and translate it into an experience an audience would carry home with them.

That education culminated in “Pap’s Manifesto”, the award-winning short film written and directed by her husband, for which she served as Executive Producer. Producing a film that close to home, one built from lived experience and personal truth, sharpened something in her. It confirmed that the work she cares about most sits at the intersection of empathy and craft, where character is not a narrative device but the whole point.

At SparkyBoom, Trenesa develops and produces narrative films rooted in dynamic, fully realized characters and stories that earn their emotional weight. She is drawn to projects where the humanity is non-negotiable, and to the collaborators who feel the same way.
